This week's goals...

First, I would like to say that I actually did get two of my goals done: I finished the laundry and I started exercising again! The only thing left was to finish sewing Jane's dress, maybe that can get done this week.

I just got done reading my friend Keriann's blog, (she is also doing the weekly goals thing) and she had a great idea: to have a family goal along with individual goals. Since I think that this is a fabulous idea I am going to do my goals similarly.

Family Goal:

RINSE OFF OUR OWN DISHES!! Since our dishwasher broke I have been doing dishes by hand...boohoo for me...I don't expect everyone to do their own dishes but I at least want everyone to rinse their dishes so that they are ready to wash when I get to it.

Jane's goal:

Does potty training count as her goal or mine? :0) Can you really give a one-year-old a goal?

Vance's goal:

Make bed and put away laundry every morning before cartoons. (thanks to Keriann for this one)

Dad's goal:

I haven't actually talked to him about it yet, I will post his later.

Now for my goals:

Have dishes done every night.
Continue to have the laundry done.
Keep exercising.
Be a better friend.

Hopefully this week will be as successful as the last. Good luck to any of you who are also setting goals for yourselves. TO those who aren't, try it! You would be amazed at how good you feel after you accomplish your set goals.

Weekly Goals...

My friend Tasha found a great new blog here. It has monthly challenges and this month's challenge is to set weekly goals for ourselves. I really like this idea to help motivate everybody around us. It is a new way to get me to do the things that I need to do. So I am going to put my goals up every week on the sidebar to the right of my post. I hope that this list keeps me on track to getting things done. And maybe, just maybe, I can get one more person to do the same.

Share Our Strength: There is Strength in Numbers

Please watch this video. The statistics break my heart. I want to help these children and this bake sale (from my previous post) is the only way I know how.

Great American Bake Sale...

I have been hearing about this "Great American Bake Sale" for a while now. It is a bake sale you do on your own and all of the proceeds go toward ending child hunger. Check out their website here. I am going to try to do one, but I need help. Please let me know if you are willing to help. I plan on asking the city if we can do this at market night or something else that attracts people.
